C. Edward Stirman

C. Edward (Ed) Stirman is a Christian attorney who represents people of all faiths.  He has been providing various legal services to people in Larimer County since 1982.  Mr. Stirman retired in November 2009 as a Larimer County Court Judge after ten years on the bench.

Mr. Stirman received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law (1980) and his Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University (1976).  He is a Texas native, but has lived in Colorado for the last 46 years.  He is married with two adult children and two grandchildren.

He is a member of the Colorado and Larimer County Bar Associations, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the Christian Legal Society.  Mr. Stirman also served four years in the U. S. Navy (Vietnam service).

 

Laurie R. Stirman

Laurie Stirman is licensed both in Colorado and Wyoming. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law (2007) and her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University (2003). Following graduation from law school Laurie worked as a law clerk for the 8th Judicial District with District Court Judges Dan Kaup and Dave Williams. She then worked as an associate attorney for Bell, Gould & Scott, P.C. from 2008 to 2011.

Ms. Stirman is a member of the Colorado, Wyoming, and Larimer County Bar Associations, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Her primary emphasis is on bankruptcy (Chapters 7, 11, and 13), debt work-out solutions, civil litigation, family law, and estate planning. She recently defended an appeal in the Colorado Supreme Court and has also given presentations on bankruptcy, secured transactions, and landlord-tenant law.
